Cleaning Shower Doors and Curtains

Because the shower door and curtain is exposed to the water, soap and shower care products it should be cleaned regularly.

To slow down the growth of mould and dry out the showering area quicker, leave the shower door open after having a shower.

Hard water spots and soap build-up can be cleaned using a shower glass cleaner. Alternatively you can mix equal parts of white vinegar and water to clean shower doors. Leave it on the glass doors for five minutes before rinsing off with warm water. To remove mould use bleach based cleaner. In most cases you can just spray the cleaner on then wipe off or rinse off.

Cleaning Shower Curtain

1. Soak it in a bath or large tub of water with bio washing powder
2. Leave overnight to loosen any deposits. If your curtain has a fungal growth in the hems or edges scrub it with an old toothbrush
3. After the soak, put your shower curtain into the washing with two towels. The abrasive texture of towels helps dislodge dirt from the curtain
4. If you need to deodorise the curtain and disinfect it, add a small amount of vinegar to the wash load
5. Some shower curtains can’t be washed in a washing machine. These can be cleaned using a cleaning spray and then wiped down
